We’re here. We’re in our new home. It’s wonderful. I have laundry going-I’m still really excited that I can do my own laundry on MY time when I want. It’s early so I have the modem and router hooked up in the kitchen-which makes me have no house phone so this will be short.
We’re surrounded by boxes, which I’m hoping to get taken care of SOON. Luckily Jeff is off this weekend, or not so lucky however you look at it. It’s difficult to get much done with the kids trying to follow me everywhere, especially Serenity-she wants to go up and down the stairs but isn’t ready for that….or maybe I’m not ready for her to do that.
Um, Um…so much going on I don’t really know where to begin. I had the mailing address changed but STILL no mail. Well we got a packages from Aunt Joanne, and that was great. Had a gift card for Jeff and I, a baby Einstein and a blanket for Lily-she knew who that was from. Still bitchy about the lack of w2.
There will be a video update in the next couple of weeks. I’d like to get more unpacked so you can SEE what the place looks like rather than just this and that here and there.
typing a blog entry. Along came a toddler and sat down beside her. Ok really I’m sitting on the floor in the corning typing this because our living room furniture is over at the new place. It’s so frustrating moving so slowly but it can’t be helped. The guys got quite a bit done today and Jeff is actually making a trip right now, he’s going to take one more tonight and be done. I think I might end up taking a trip to zuckerman’s tomorrow to recycle copper and get some money. If not it’ll be in the next two days. I will be so glad to be actually ‘IN’ the new house-even surrounded by stacks of boxes that need to be unpacked. Will be so much better. I was able to pawn off a wine rack and a painting on Jason, stuff that was just sitting around here and gathering dust. Dust…very much so on the wine racks HA.
We signed the lease on our new townhouse last night. So happy, we’re going to have friends up on Sunday (weather permitting) to help move the heavy furniture. It’s snowing heavily at the moment so i’m not really sure how the weather will be so can’t guarantee anything. Things are great otherwise-hopefully we’ll be in the new place next week. I haven’t called to change anything over yet as we’re not sure WHEN we’ll be in finished moving everything
The realtor called about the town house we looked at and WE GOT IT!!! I’m so so so excited, I don’t even know what to do with myself. It’s 10pm and I’m wide awake…I have no boxes but I want to start packing, I want to order new checks with the new address and I haven’t even signed a lease yet. This is so amazing! She called while I was at walmart w/ mom and Lily getting groceries and talked to Jeff. Said our credit wasn’t as bad as we made it out to be and that if we were still interested it was ours. I have to call her tomorrow and get the details on how to do this. I’m not sure what to do….what to say. I mean, my mind is blank and usually I’m great with this sort of thing, paper work, finance etc. gotta get back into my CEO/ confidant mind set. I’m going to try and set things up for move in date being the first of February since we’ve paid rent till the end of the month here but see if she’ll let me start moving things INTO the place a few days before. She said we can do a ‘bit’ of renovating but nothing to extreme and ask permission before hand. WOW, it’s so wonderful to finally be able to do this-to GET OUT of this apartment and into a ‘house’ a place that KNOWS and ALLOWS us to have our pets.
Jeff just finished a splatter plexi-art piece for the living room. I kinda sorta recorded the process, and uploaded it to the family youtube channel. Go have a looksie. It’s drying now so tomorrow or so I’ll be able to get a picture of it, which will be posted also.
